Energy Performance Certificates

Graeme Asquith will do the inspections. He is a member of Elmhurst Energy, a Government approved Accreditation scheme, set up to provide Energy Performance Certificates.

What is an Energy Performance Certificate?

An Energy Performance Certificate shows the official energy efficiency and environmental impact (carbon footprint) rating of a property, in graphical format.

It also contains recommended ways to improve the properties energy performance.

Energy Performance Certificates for Rental Properties

From 1st October 2008 all new lettings will require an Energy Performance Certificate. You do not need to wait until October to have the certificate produced, as the certificate is valid for 10 years.

If you would like to talk about how you can maximise your rating before the initial assessment just give us a call. After all, the certificate will be valid for 10 years so it is important you get the best rating you can.

If after receipt of your certificate, you make improvements to your property which will improve your rating, let us know and we will carry out another assessment and produce an updated certificate at a much reduced rate.
